Take a few <strong>deep breaths.<\/strong><\/p><p>Research shows that your breath is a powerful tool to ease <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmd.com\/balance\/stress-management\/default.htm\" data-metrics-link=\"\" data-crosslink-type=\"article\">stress<\/a> and make you feel less anxious. Taking a few deep breaths can make a big difference in managing your anxiety if you make it a part of your daily routine.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-757e28d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"757e28d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>2. <strong>Journal<\/strong> about how you\u2019re feeling.<\/p><p>By writing about your thoughts and feelings, you can gain valuable insights into why you\u2019re feeling the way you\u2019re feeling. As you take a sip of your favorite drink, pay attention to the temperature of it. Notice the the way it tastes and feels in your mouth.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bcf1456 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bcf1456\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>4. Get <strong>creative<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p><p>Creativity engages and focuses our minds on the task at hand &#8211; and helps us to move past our feelings of stress and anxiety. Research actually shows that different forms of artistic expressions can decrease in our levels of cortisol, a hormone that the body secretes to respond to stress.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e541b45 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e541b45\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>5. <strong>Move<\/strong> your body.<\/p><p>All forms of movement medicine (exercise, dancing, stretching, etc) has long been proven to increase the feel good hormones in the body. Regular exercise can also help you to sleep better, which can further reduce anxiety and depression.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-79c91a8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"79c91a8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>6. Limit your <strong>daily news<\/strong> exposure.<\/p><p>There is a difference between being responsibly informed, and being overwhelmed and inundated by what&#8217;s happening. Decide when is the best time for you to catch up on the impact of Coronavirus. Having meaningful connection with loved ones will help you to feel supported during this very difficult time.
