support to entrepreneurs by<\/p><ul><li>helping them to <strong>validate<\/strong> and <strong>refine<\/strong> their business idea<\/li><li>sharing <strong>relevant<\/strong> video trainings<\/li><li>providing <strong>mentorship<\/strong> by local industry leaders and<\/li><li>creating opportunities for <strong>grant-funding<\/strong> to help them start and scale their business.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>It combines the accessibility of <strong>mobile technology<\/strong> with the proven effectiveness of <strong>micro-learning<\/strong> to support MSEs through free and paid online trainings, mentor <strong>support<\/strong> and opportunities for <strong>financing<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8c3e8b3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8c3e8b3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How It Started<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section owners\u00a0has led to this insight- Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) face <strong>similar challenges<\/strong> in areas of financial management, adoption of digital technologies, use of digital marketing capabilities, finding product-market fit, managing their resources and balancing their financial needs with environmental sustainability. These challenges have been compounded by the <strong>Covid-19 pandemic<\/strong>, which an <a href=\"https:\/\/idbinvest.org\/en\/blog\/development-impact\/new-data-shows-impacts-pandemic-caribbean-businesses\">IDB study<\/a> states has negatively impacted <strong>90%<\/strong> of businesses.\u00a0<\/p><p>After considering these factors and acknowledging that many business owners cannot dedicate months and years to acquire new skills, I realized that <strong>a mobile application<\/strong> may be an effective solution to overcoming many challenges faced by entrepreneurs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> This recognition aligns with research from the <strong>OECD<\/strong> that suggests that the internet, digital platforms, mobile and digital services offer \u2018leapfrogging\u2019 opportunities that presents new possibilities for growth (OECD, 2018a).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element
